Project#2 Reflection

Intermediate Composition (Monday)

    The two readings in Unit 6 gave us a solid description about the environmental damage which was caused by tourists. From these two articles, we can know tourists indeed caused a lot of trouble to scientists and environment, not only for the garbage the left by them, but also for the distraction that make scientist more difficult to do their job. However, it is still debatable that whether we should stop tourist from entering certain environment because people still need to learn how fragile these place are. It is important to have awareness of protecting our environment.

    My main topic in this project is “Wetlands”, which affect our environment deeply. During the process of searching sources, I found it enjoyable to learn the function of wetlands, which surely broaden my horizon. However, I feel sad because I also learned the fact that wetlands have been sabotaged by business corporation for many years.

    Even I got a fine grade in this project, I still dissatisfy about my performance because I encounter some difficulties. There is countless information about wetlands on the Internet, thus, I found it challenging to organize information that I need. Through this project, I understand that there are still a lot of thing I need to learn about collecting information.

    After I finish project#2, my ability of constructing opinion was enhanced. It is important for us to learn how to express and organize our own opinion because we may need to write thesis before we graduate. I am glad we have the chance to do such practice now, that benefits us a lot.
